14&15 Nov Penang ECO Challenge Participants from local and abroad will compete in this tough event located in Balik Pulau,Penang. Participants are required to complete running, mountain biking, rafting and abseilling.
15 Nov International Meatless Day Charity Carnival The staging of the carnoval aims to rpomote Penang's cultural diversity and ethnicity through our multifarious vegetarian foods for locals as well as visitors and tourists, including those from Europe, USA, India, China & Taiwan. We intent to show and show and promote Penang as a place where meatless cuisine is rich, plentiful and accessible. THis carnival will have several food stalls selling vegetarian food cooked by participants and chefs from restaurants, hotels, hawkers and also from non-governmental organisations. The carnival will also be used to raised money for charity.
1 Nov-31 Dec Penang International Lantern Festival Intricately designed lanerns with multiple motifs with light uo this festival season, chanting the audience with their intrinsic beuty along the enchanting full moon.
20 Nov Raja Muda Selangor International Regatta The Regatta is Malaysia's most challenging sailing event, involving coastal passage races from Port Klang to Pangkor, Pangkor to Penang, and Penang to Langkawi, with day races at Penang and Langkawi. It attracts international boats and is in its 20th consecutive year.
29 Nov Penang International Bridge Marathon This annual run over the third longest bridge in the world and along the scenic coastal highway cater to serious runners as well as those who enjoy some fun in the sun.
1-31 Dec Pesta Pulau Pinang 2009 A month-long fun fair with rides, games and a trade exhibition to cater for the whole family.
1-6 Dec Penang Rifles International Open Championship Firearm enthusiats from the Philippines, Hong Kong, Singapore and Thailand get together to show their skills in this event.
3-6 Dec The Penang Island Jazz Festival The 6th Annual Penang Island Jazz Festival will feaure local and international artistes on the main state. A number of supporting activities such as workshops, young talent jazz competition, poster, photography, painting and percussion exhibitions, fringe stage performances, community drum circle etc will be held in conjunction with the festival over the four day period.
4-6 Dec Penang Open Synchronised Swimming Chanpionship Synchronised swimmers from China, USA Singapore, Indonesia, Macau, Japan, Thailand are expected to participate in this event.
