Cheng Ho Cultural Museum is the best place to begin your journey at Melaka. It is better if you make it a priority, because the museum will provide you with a comprehensive history of the town and help you know what lies where in the rest of the town. Since the museum displays artifacts of the person who is said to have “founded” the city of Melaka (and opened its doors to the world), it certainly has a larger-than-life importance for an outsider who is curious to delve into the town’s past and to connect it with the present. It is undoubtedly the perfect place to have a crash course in Melaka’s history and without doubt, a museum not to be missed!
